IMPRESSIONS

THE NHS IS FANTASTIC

THE NHS IS FECKED

CHEMOTHERAPY IS A DODDLE

CHEMOTHERAPY IS GOING TO BE HARD

IF I AM THINKING ABOUT ORDER OF SERVICE  CELEBRATION, AM I BEING SENSIBLY PREPARED OR FATALISTIC?

BEEN ASKED DO I WANT A DNR ORDER...HMMN!

ACTUALLY FEELING PRETTY GOOD, SEEMS LIKE THE FECKER DOESN'T MUCH LIKE WHAT  I'M SHOVELLING DOWN.

IF ALL THE CHARITIES, GOVERNMENT  DEPARTMENTS, ETC.SENT  THE PEOPLE THEY SAID THEY WOULD TO HELP ME, I WOULD HAVE TO MOVE OUT TO MAKE ROOM FOR THEM. AS IT IS HELP HAS ONLY JUST STARTED TO ARRIVE...HEAVEN ONLY KNOWS HOW WE HAVE MANAGED...BY WE I MEAN OF COURSE MY GLORIOUSLY ABLE JP.

  10. It's very difficult to say anything which hasn't already been said by someone, but, well, you know. I'm still reading. Keep writing.

  12. I apologize ahead of this comment....but I warned you....you might want to block me from your blog....I told you this is bringing all my experiences with my dad back.

I was working on Sunday, as I alway do, in Health Information Management at the hospital, imaging records, when I got a call to come up to my dad's room....quickly....he wasn't doing well, and they needed someone to sign a DNR. My brother was here, and he wouldn't sign it alone. My mom was on the way to the hospital. When I got up to his room, I told them "no way" would I sign the DNR...and I caught my mom and told her to refuse, too. We didn't sign it. My dad came out of the bad state he was in, and kept fighting to live. Why are they always in such a hurry to get those darn DNRs signed??? Anyway, someone can sign one later, if need be....but, make sure it is someone that LOVES you and wants you to LIVE that you give your medical power of attorney to.

Chemotherapy is the worst. But, it CAN shrink those horrible tumors. I am praying fervently that it will shrink yours to tiny little raisin size....or even better, make them vanish! I do so want to hear more stories of your life!

As far as thinking about order of celebration, I think you are being the great mom and person you have shown to all of us....you are helping your family in a time when they will be greiving. My dad had done that for us, and I cannot tell you how wonderful that was.
I think it's being realistic, not fatalistic...because we all have to go sometime.

  14. hi mum
sounds typical half full-half empty which is a damn sight better than the way i generally see things.
now you have me wondering if prepared is the same as fatalistic. thinkin maybe
and i think now is as good a time as any to go ahead and use the "u" and set the euphamisms free
if spirit alone can turn battles, you've got it licked
    way to go Moannie!
    love
    rick
