My thoughts...

I had thought it best to just say 'bye' - let you go.

Let you down easily - but the more I considered, the more I felt that those of you who cared - really cared in this odd universe, where total strangers become loved ones - deserved to be treated as such.

And so I shall be chronicling this new - last journey with you - the truth as it happens, with clarity and humour

- for even the gallows' humour is a necessity.

Moannie

(whilst Mum is in hospital I shall be posting her words here and recounting your words to her in turn. Saz)

  1. Oh no. Please don't just vanish on us. Devastated to hear that you are needing to be in hospital at all, or that gallows humor is required.
My thoughts are with you and and of course Milou and JP.

  7. Moannie, my eyes welled up with tears. You are part of a girl's heart all the way in Montreal Canada. And I'm thinking of you and sending lots of healing thoughts your way. You are so much bigger than you are, you are so much more than sick. Lots of love, Tanya

  8. Moannie, to be thinking of others when you've every right to want to curl up and ignore the world, shows a big spirit and a kind heart. I wish you all the very best.

  12. No way you should just opt out! Look at me. I keep bouncing back.
Moannie...... live each day with expectancy and try to enjoy something..... even a little thing. Expressing your thoughts really does help.
Hoping for the very best for you. With love and prayers...

  16. Moannie, your love and kind words and thoughts sustained me through some rotten feelings, when I haven't had my own Mam with me for too many years. Thank you so much for that.

Please know that you are loved by all around you, and all who you have touched throughout your life, here and in the real world.

Your bravery and beauty are the stuff of legend. Your wit, words and elegance are but drops of gold to your radiance...

Sending you loving thoughts at this challenging time xxx

  17. My heart just broke. I cannot believe this spirited woman who has stolen our hearts with her words is going to bow out and say goodbye. Please hug her for me, as if I could I would. Hold her hand and tell her how very dear she has become to us all. Please get well. I don't know why she is in the hospital, but I fear it isn't good. Know that if love could make someone whole again, she surely would be walking out of the hospital today. My prayers, and my thoughts will be continually with her.

  23. Moannie, leave it to you to think of us all now, when you should be spitting iron and grinding nurses into sausage. Thank you for letting me know you so more clearly through this journey you've chosen to walk without a hint of surrender.
